Those in attendance: Elaine Rapp (chair), George D'Orazio, Mike Faiella, Rob Drye, Joseph Rega, Dennis Wyman, Paul Krohne, Don Jones and Jackie Teague.

Discussion notes:

Welcome to new members

The minutes were approved with the following changes:

• add that Mike would continue to be the vice-chairperson.
• undated should be updated - first paragraph, second page.
• remove "- a real concern ----" second page, bottom of second paragraph.
• affect should be effect - second page, second paragraph.

Reviewed the meeting schedule attached and made the following changes:

• change the December 1994 meeting from the 13th to the 6th.
• also for this meeting only, change the room from 15 to 19.

Reviewed the three handouts attached.

Pat Bussell [sic] will be invited to the next meeting to bring us up to date on legislation in the works which may be of interest to us.

Mike discussed a case of a superintendent asking beyond the law and what advice would the council have in responding to this person.

Mike and George reviewed a meeting in which the Keene school board's proposed policy excluding home schooled students from all the public school district's activities was discussed. They felt the meeting was progressive, a subcommittee was formed to study the policy further and no vote was taken.

Jackie will survey the districts asking:

• If you have a home schooler relational policy would you please send us a copy?
• If you have a home schooler relational practice would you tell us what it is?

The next meeting will be held at the Department of Education in Room 19 at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 1994.
