Volunteering!

In a continuing effort to offer recruitment resources to the nonprofit community, the Voluntary Action Center (VAC) publishes and distributes the Volunteer Bulletin five times per year highlighting opportunities in Greater Nashua and Greater Manchester.

There are many volunteer opportunities, some of which are suitable for teens and/or families. Many of them would be a great way for homeschoolers to learn a new subject, and would look good on a resume or in a portfolio.

Studio hours: Mon-Sat 10:00 to 9:00 pm (last seating 8:00 pm) Sunday 12:00 to 6:00 pm (last seating 5:00 pm)

Pottery Creations is a pottery studio where you enjoy the creativity of painting your own pottery. No experience required, just an imagination. Choose from a wide variety of decorative and functional items likejewelry boxes, picture frames, coffee cups, etc. They're food safe and dishwasher friendly! The pottery you choose can range from $2.00 to $30.00. The Studio time, which includes use of brushes, paints, glazing and kiln firing, cos $7.00 per hour (children under 12 $6.00 per hour).

School group discounts are available Monday to Thursday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. (a two week notice is appreciated).

Just walk on in, or make reservations. Choose your pottery, grab your brushes, and then pick your paints from a rainbow of colors. Now you are ready to start the fun and begin painting. If you need help, just ask.

There's plenty of stencils and stamps to help with your creation. When you have completed your personal touches, the rest is up to us. We will have your pottery glazed & kiln fired, and your Pottery Creation will be ready for pickup in a few days.
